Two people were rescued off the coast of Sharjah
The National Guard’s Search and Rescue Centre responded to a distress call about the two individuals in distress, 6.5 nautical miles from Al Hamriya Port in Sharjah.
The rescue operation, coordinated with the Coast Guard, involved locating the ship and dispatching a search and rescue boat. The boat brought the injured individuals to shore, where they received immediate first aid. One of the individuals was later transferred to a hospital by National Ambulance for further treatment.
The National Guard has emphasized the importance of following safety protocols and urged sea-goers to call the maritime emergency line, 996, for a quick response in emergencies.
