Zayed Int’l Airport has been named the world’s most beautiful airport
Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi has been named the world’s most beautiful airport at the prestigious Prix Versailles awards in Paris.
This recognition coincides with the airport’s first anniversary and the UAE’s 53rd National Day celebrations. Its unique X-shaped design blends Emirati cultural elements with cutting-edge technology, allowing it to accommodate 11,000 passengers per hour and 79 aircraft at once.
Elena Sorlini, CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, expressed pride in the achievement: “This award highlights the UAE’s commitment to redefining global aviation standards.”
With plans to implement nine biometric touchpoints by 2025, Zayed International Airport has also been recognized as the fastest-growing airport in the Middle East, serving over 21 million passengers within a year.
Passengers have praised the airport, with one describing it as “an architectural masterpiece that combines beauty and efficiency.”
The airport reflects Abu Dhabi’s ambition to position itself as a leading global aviation hub.
